About the role

We’ve got an exciting opportunity to join the Academy as a Casual Grassroots Scout.

 What will you be doing?

 •                 Attend U6 - U16 grassroots clubs, primary and secondary school’s fixtures, and tournaments under the direction of the Grassroots Scouting Coordinator

  • Identify and recommend grassroots players with the potential to join the LFC Academy
  • Record and provide comprehensive player reports on players of interest from the Northwest of England
  • Attend regular meetings at the Academy to discuss players of interest, support the trial process and develop a good understanding of the players already in the programme.
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills and update qualifications.
  • Adhere to the Academy Recruitment strategy and process.
  • Adhere to the LFC Scouts Code of Conduct.
  • Abide by the FA & LFC Safeguarding rules and regulations working with young children.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful you will hold an FA Level 1 in Talent ID and have completed the FA safeguarding children’s course. You’ll have a proven track record working within grassroots football in the North West of England as well as significant experience working as a scout, reporting to, and recommending players for a professional team. Previous experience of working for a category 1 Academy is beneficial.
