We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Senior Executive, Digital Marketing Operations. Working within the Digital team and closely with teams across the club, in this role you will be responsible for the delivery of the Club’s digital analytics implementation

 

 

 

The key accountabilities of this role are:

 

  1. Support the implementation of digital analytics solutions on the Google platform, including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics (Universal Analytics/ Google Analytics 4) & Google Big Query. Work with LFC’s digital agencies to deliver custom tagging solutions using JavaScript within Google Tag Manager for tracking user behaviour and send the data to Google Analytics for building further analytics reports.
  2. Responsible for LFC’s tagging environment within Google Tag Manager, working alongside the manager to review and manage tagging standards ensuring robust and consistent data is captured for analysis. Oversee the governance of website pixels.
  3. Administer Google Analytics (GA4) configurations, testing and validating analytical implementations. Maintain Universal Analytics implementation to support existing reporting infrastructure. Support deployment of Google Consent Mode compliant tags.
  4. Deliver robust marketing tagging and tracking across LFC’s digital marketing campaigns via web, search, social media, email, etc.
  5. Deliver digital marketing campaigns via email, SMS and push platforms ensuring that this meets the needs of the Club’s marketing calendar. Work with the wider Digital Marketing team to provide appropriate data selections for campaigns. 
  6. Develop and maintain a good working relationship with key stakeholders throughout the Club’s commercial business.
  7. Support the Marketing Operations team with data connection gateways.

 

You will demonstrate this knowledge

 

  • Solid analytical expertise with a good understanding of the delivery of digital marketing campaigns
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working within a digital marketing environment with a grounding in and experience of working in web analytics
  • Keen self-learner with a proactive attitude towards seeking to develop skills on new environments, platforms and systems
  • Ability to demonstrate strong technical problem solving skills
  • Highly numerate & experienced working with multiple data sets and databases
  • Ability to create and build good relationships with internal stakeholders / external suppliers, working in a collaborative and cross-functional environment
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines and manage expectations across multiple projects and stakeholders

 

You will display these technical skills

 

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Grounding in and experience of using Google Tag Manager or similar tag management solutions
  • Experience working with analytics tools such as Google Analytics (GA360/ GA4)
  • Highly competent in MS Office productivity tools
  • Knowledge of email, SMS and push platforms, preferably Dot Digital and Wonderpush
  • Knowledge of web coding, JavaScript, HTML CSS selectors, SQL
  • Knowledge of JSON APIs and data visualisation platforms such as Power BI, Looker Studio and Salesforce Marketing Intelligence (Datorama)
  • Knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as GCP (Google BigQuery)

 

 

This is a full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week. Your main base will be our Chapel Street office which is close to local bars, shops and restaurants and has great views over the river Mersey.
